Our Story

Friendship turned business! Noelle was known for her family’s toffee recipe. She made it for friends over the years for all events and holidays, backyard bbqs, birthday parties, school fundraisers and more.

One night, after many months of talking about turning the family recipe into a business venture, Noelle and Julia took their friendship to a new level and committed selling the toffee commercially.

Elle Toffee was launched, a website went live, and within a week orders were coming in.

Women owned and operated out of a commercial kitchen in Seattle, WA. We still produce the toffee using the original small batch process with an emphasis on quality. We have loved the journey so far and look forward to all the opportunities ahead.

  • Michelle is the Queen of our Castle. She’s been perfecting our main recipe for over 30 years. She is a resident of Dallas, TX with her husband, Bill, and Boston Terrier, Mr. Bond. They like to spend time in their happy place, Bluffton, SC and travelling the country to see their 5 kids, 11 grandchildren and families. Michelle is frequently seen in Seattle with her daughter, Noelle, son-in-law, and grandchildren.

    Noelle, Michelle’s daughter, has shared the family toffee with the next generation and the dreamer to start Elle Toffee to share our deliciousness far and wide. She resides in Phinney Ridge with her husband, 3 kids and 2 dogs with a day job in communications. She’s a frequent visitor of all places Phinney Ridge and Greenwood.

  • Julia and Noelle met a few years ago as busy working moms. Julia loves all things business and when Noelle shared she and Michelle had always wanted to sell the toffee but didn’t know where to start, Julia said “let’s start now!”. And that night, in Noelle’s living room, Elle Toffee was born.

    Julia is a successful real estate broker in the greater Seattle area. She lives in Phinney Ridge with her husband, 3 kids, mother-in-law and new puppy, Ichiro.
